Enohia Itim Progressive Movement (EIPM), a non-political group, have distributed palliative care to her community in Afikpo North LGA of Ebonyi state.
The group distributed food items of various kinds, such as rice, spaghetti, oil, Garri and hand sanitizers to more than 300 beneficiary families, including the vulnerable elderly and indigent widows in support of the Ebonyi State Government’d effort in grappling with the hardship triggered by the global COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the Chairman, Enohia Itim Town Union, Lagos Branch, Okpani Justin Okpani, this gesture is in support of the good works of Ebonyi state Governor, Engr. Dave Umahi who also reached out to over 20 families of Enohia Itim resident in Lagos with the ongoing State government’s palliatives to its indigenes in Lagos.
The sum of N13 million and 13,000 bags of 5kg rice was released by the the Governor to Ebonyi State indigenes in Lagos through the Development Association of Ebonyi state. These palliatives were distributed to the 13 local governments and down to the Autonomous communities of which Enohia Itim people in Lagos benefited from it.
“We are therefore grateful to the outstanding gesture of our dear Governor Dave Umahi, the only and first Governor who extended his palliatives programme to Ebonyians resident outside the state,” the group said.
