The Commander of the 013 Quick Response Force (QRF), Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Minna, Niger State, Group Captain Austine Idoko, has emphasized the need for strengthened collaboration between the NAF and the Headquarters Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA) in joint operations to combat banditry in Niger State.
Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, TRADOC, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday.
He said during a familiarization visit to the Commander TRADOC NA, Major General Kevin Aligbe, on Friday, Group Captain Idoko expressed gratitude for TRADOC NA’s cooperation and support to NAF Minna.
He therefore requested for an increased collaboration to effectively perform NAF roles during his tenure as Commander 013 QRF.
Group Captain Idoko highlighted the importance of improving the established relationship and mutual understanding between TRADOC NA and 013 QRF NAF. He acknowledged Major General Aligbe’s strategic level expertise and experience within the Armed Forces of Nigeria, making the visit crucial for seeking guidance.
In response, Major General Aligbe assured the Commander 013 QRF of maximum support, particularly in training, operational engagements, and logistics. He encouraged Group Captain Idoko to maintain open communication regarding any required interventions from TRADOC NA.
The visit featured presentations of souvenirs and a group photograph, solidifying the commitment to enhanced synergy between the NAF and TRADOC NA in combating banditry.
Enugu Reporters reports that this strategic partnership aims to bolster joint operations, ensuring a more effective response to security challenges in Niger State.
