Following the recent killings of some suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, at Emene in Enugu state which allegedly involves some security personnels in the state, the state governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has summoned an emergency state security council meeting which according to the statement issued by the secretary to the Enugu state government, Prof. Simon Uchenna Ortuanya, is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, September first 2020 at the Executive Chambers, lion Building, Government house Enugu by 2pm.
Prof. Ortuanya went further to disclose that all the security apparatus in the state are expected to forward their detailed accounts of the incident bothering on the remote causes, the resultant effects as well as the possible reactive measures already adopted to avoid the repeatation of similar ugly development.
Early morning of last Sunday was bloody at Emene as a result of civil unrest which lead to loss of lives.
Several people mainly youths were found dead in the pool of their own blood, a situation which attracted attention of the governor,who reportedly visited the scene.
Residents and we’ll meaning individuals outside the state have called on the state governor to investigate and punish those behind the gruesome act.
