The abductors of about seven children from Rachel’s Orphanage Home in Naharati, Abuja have demanded a Ransom of ten million naira.
The abduction which occurred on Saturday 23rd January affected seven children and three adults. The adults are identified as: Momoh Jimoh, Khadijat Jimoh and Rukaiyat Salihu.
The operator of the orphanage home, Rachel Alajeshe said that she was contacted by the abductors early on Monday demanding for a ransom of #10 million for the release of the seven children.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Alajeshe has complained of her impecuniousness. She said she told the abductors that she cannot afford such huge amount as she had been depending on NGOs to take care of the children.
An unconfirmed report has it that the kidnappers had threatened to kill the the children if the ten million naira is not paid on time.
The police says they are in their plans to rescue the children and others without any injury, they therefore called for calmness.
