OPSH declares criminals wanted, nabs 8 suspects with cache of arms in plateau crackdown

Troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) has declared four criminals wanted in connection with criminal activities in Fann District, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State. The wanted individuals are Mr. Timothy Zakka Dung (aka Timaya), Mr. Sam P, Dachun Job, and Yakubu Ishaku.

According to the Military Information Officer, OPSH, Major SN Zhakom, Wednesday, said, the declaration comes after a tactical team of 3 Division/OPSH was attacked by criminals in Sangasa Village on July 10, 2024, resulting in the tragic loss of Assistant Superintendent of Immigration CL Agwom.

During the crackdown conducted between July 10 to 16, 2024, the team arrested eight suspects and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition, including AK-47 rifles, fabricated weapons, Dane guns, ammunition, and military uniforms, from Ratas, Ratoso, and Sangasa Villages in Fann District.

The operation reaffirms that Fann District is a criminal enclave, and Operation Safe Haven is committed to mopping up illegal arms and ammunition in the Joint Operations Area.

The statement urged the public to collaborate and provide credible information to aid in securing law-abiding citizens.
It also called on anyone with information on the whereabouts of the wanted suspects to contact the closest security outpost.

Enugu Reporters noted that the late Assistant Superintendent of Immigration Christopher Luka Agwom has was laid to rest on July 16, 2024.

The statement assured that his sacrifice will not be in vain, as Operation Safe Haven continues to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of the region.
